The stationary contour edge bander is the workhorse of medium-sized furniture factories. In this setup, the machine remains fixed while the operator moves the wooden panel against the application rollers. These machines are equipped with advanced features like digital temperature control for the glue, drilling machines tape cutting (guillotine), and adjustable feed speeds. Some models also feature a "vacuum table" or specialized support arms that hold the panel in place, allowing the machine to apply the banding to complex internal and external radii with much higher consistency than portable models.
